名词 “entrance” 来自动词 “enter 进入”，即 “从外部进入到某地方的内部” 这一动作。“Entrance” 可以指 “建筑物的入口”，比如，“main entrance 大门、正门”，与 “exit 出口” 相对；虽然 “access” 也有 “通道” 的含义，但它的意思是 “出入某地的通道”。比如，我们可能会在建筑物上看到这样的标语。

The entrance to the building is on the other side of the road.
Access to the building is on the other side of the road.
Feifei以上两个例句的意思都是 “大楼的入口在路的另一头”。由此我们能看出单词 “entrance” 和 “access” 和介词 “to” 搭配使用：entrance to 或 access to。
