上面提到的cold air，小伙伴以为是“冷空气”，看似没问题，cold是“冷”，air是“空气”，所以cold air是“冷空气”，堪称完美！
但有时越是看似很对的中式英语套路，就越是错误的。
比如，meter是“米”，line是“线”，meterline就是“米线”吗？你们问过米线君同意不同意他的这个英文名？
很多细心的同学可能会发现，在看英文天气预报播报时，播报员说到冷空气要来了，一般都会说：
The cold front is on the way.
冷空气要到达具体的城市或者国家的时候可以说：
There's a cold front coming to China.
描述冬天的单词有： cold 寒冷的 ; 冷的； snow 雪 ; 雪花 ; 积雪； coat 外套 ; 外衣 ; 大衣； cool 凉的 ; 凉爽的 ; 凉快的； snowman 雪人； ice 冰 ; 冰场 ; 溜冰场； windy 多风的 ; 风。
有一股冷空气要来中国啦！
而cold air，一般是指空调等设备发出的“冷气”，比如我们可以说：
Keep the cold air from coming through windows.
不要让冷气从窗户跑出去了。
例句：
A cold front is bringing colder air and snow，you should wear more clothes tomorrow.
冷锋过境，空气变冷还下雪，明天你得多穿衣服。
从此可以看出wear thicker clothes也是地地道道的中式英语，正确的表达应该是 “wear more clothes”。
另外关于穿厚点，还有一个更加地道的表达：bundle up（穿暖和些）。

说起“天气冷”，cold front是一个比较“官方”的表达，一般在正式场合，比如气象预报中常见，老外平时说话很少会用，他们一般会说：

It's getting colder.
During the winter the seeds lie dormant in the soil.这里冬天往往会很冷。It tends to get very cold here in the winter.冬天历来是住房市场的萧条季节。Winter is traditionally the dead season for the housing 。

“冷”的多种表达
表达自己冷，小伙伴们是不是只会说cold呢，词到用时方恨少啊，其实表示“冷”有很多种表达方式：
