1.1helpful形容词，有给予帮助的，有益的，愿意帮忙，(事物）有助于改善局面的，有好处的。
①be helpful in doing sth. 对做某事有帮助；
②it is helpful (for sb) to do sth干某事(对某人)有益；
③be helpful for sb对某人事有益的。
1.2ask sb. to do sth.要求某人干某事。
1.3write sth. about sth.写关于某事的……
1.4enter into 进入；讨论；成为……的一部分；开始讨论；着手处理。
enter into a discussion开始讨论。
enter on/upon开始做；参加。
enter some key words into a search engine输入一些关键词进入一个搜索引擎。
1.5key名词，关键；钥匙。
the key to………的关键/的钥匙。
1.6search engine搜索引擎。
1.7find information on this topic找到关于这个话题的信息。
注意information是不可数名词。

2.2in Western culture在西方文化中，注意Western首字大写。
2.3one of the +形容词最高级+可数名词的复数形式，意为“最……的……之一”。
one of…“……之一”，当其后接复数名词时作主语时，谓语动词用单数形式。

3.1fall的用法
3.1.1作动词有“降落，落下；跌倒，倒塌；（水平、数量、价格等）下跌，减少；属于；下垂，低垂；照射（到）”等意思。
①fall in 到期；集合；排队；倒塌；与某人在一起
②fall in love 坠入爱河；爱上某人
③fall into 落入；分成
④fall of 坠落
⑤fall down 跌倒；失败；倒塌
⑥in the fall 在秋天
⑦rise and fall 涨落；抑扬
⑧fall off 减少；跌落；下降；离开；衰退
⑨fall on 落到；指向

3.2depend on/upon依靠；取决于，不能用于被动语态，其后可接动名词，还可接动词不定式。

5.3though连词，虽然；尽管。引导让步状从，相当于although，不能和but连用，但可以和yet，still连用。

5.5hunt用法
①hunt用作名词时的基本意思是“打猎，猎取”，常构成复合词。
The dog was trained to the hunt.这只狗受过狩猎训练。
②hunt动词，作“追猎；搜寻，寻找”解时常与for / after搭配使用。
Police have launched a nationwide hunt for the killer.警察已经发出全国范围内追捕杀人凶手。
③hunt out 找出；调查出。
