open和close主要指，将原来关上或合上的东西打开，比如开门，窗等，也指精神层面，比如open one's eyes敞开，大开眼界。所以当你说open the computer，同事会认为，你要把电脑主机拆开，可就闹笑话了。

当然不能，这样说，可就又掉进中式英文的坑了，我们中文说"开支票"，但其实动作是拿出指支票本，"写支票"，所以正确的动词是 write，write a check.

"开冰箱"用open还是turn on？
上面讲了电子设备的开关要用turn或switch，但开冰箱你说turn on the fridge，可就错了，因为一般说开冰箱，是打开冰箱门的动作，不是去开冰箱的电源，所以用open the fridge才对。
