有没有英语一学就能学通了的？英语究竟能不能速成？任何一个语言学家都会回答：不可能。不能速成，但却有不少一辈子怎么学也学不好的例子。靠一天到晚背书，靠听CNN、BBC英语广播，也不见得英文就会好。听到不少这类抱怨：「连续听七、八年听CNN，始终是那种样子。」精神可嘉，其实是自我安慰。
学习英语要注意三点：
第一，有一些单词用法和中文不同，甚至会响句子结构，要特别留意。像entitle、occur、face、tie、engage。

第二，要扩大对片语(Phrasal verbs) 的识别能力和运用能力。
第三，千万不要对号入座。
「对号入座」，的意思是逐字翻译，来就是come、去就是go。所以英文不管怎么学都有浓浓中文味。有时候甚至会会错意。
有人说，「但老外都懂，何必太讲究。」试想如果你说：&34; 我看，讲英语的老外都懂。就像我们也没有听过一个老中说：「这面很好被吃。」 听得懂，就是不像中文。
1、what time：几点。2、when：什么时候。二、侧重点不同 1、what time：侧重于表示时间的点。2、when：when表示的时间范围广。三、引证用法不同 1、what time：what用作疑问代词时，其基本意思是“什么，什么东西，什么。
错误：What time is your watch?
正确：What time is it by your watch?
错误：How are you this week?
What is the time by your watch?不可以换，固定用法
正确：How have you been this week?
“This week”这一周，持续一段时间，要用完成时。
错误：When I went to Japan last month，I saw him…..
正确：When I was in Japan last month，I saw him….
第一句travelled讲的是一种状态，第二句讲的是一种行动。我们告诉别人上个月我去了一趟日本，是指行动，重点不是我那时人在日本旅行。
错误：When will you come to the office?
正确：When will you be in the office?
你何时会到办公室？用be较准确，因为come会让人搞不清楚是出发的时间，还是到达的时间。
错误：Why don't you stay more time?
正确：Why don't you stay a little longer?
虽然中文说多留一点时间，译成英文还是要说stay longer。
错误：But I had sent the parcel to you for 7 days.
正确：But I sent the package to you 7 days ago.
by your watch by应该是表示方式，通过你的表 aqui te amo。
把包裹送出去，是一个时间发生的事实，发生就已完成，没有延续性，不必用完成式。
错误：I think I won't see him.
正确：I don't think I will see him.
错误：What working experience did you have before?
What time .by.
正确：What prior work experience have you had?
