绘本导读：
《The Very Hungry Caterpillar》“好饿的毛毛虫”是由美国著名的绘本大师艾瑞克.卡尔（Eric Carl）所作，被译三十多种文字，大小开本世界发行量超过2000万册，毛毛虫是什么英文，曾获得多项大奖和荣誉，如美国《出版者周刊》评为“所有时代最畅销童书”、美国全国教育协会推荐100本最佳童书、美国全国教育协会“教师们推荐的100本书”等等。
这是一本充满了诗情与创意的图画书，故事讲的是讲的是一只饥饿的毛毛虫破茧，从周一到周日，从一个苹果、两个梨子........到各种零食，最后蜕变成一只美丽花蝴蝶的故事。从中孩子们可以学习到星期、水果、数字和食物的表达，另外句式和词汇高度重复如“He ate...He was still hungry"，有利于孩子们模仿学习。在亲子共读的过程中，大家不妨一起模仿发出饥饿、吃东西、肚子痛的声音，会给阅读带来很多乐趣，另外读绘本的过程中多引导孩子们看图片，进行问答，启发他们学会思考和激发阅读的兴趣。
