1.脸皮厚 VS 脸皮薄
英语中“脸皮厚”和汉语一模一样：
Thick skinned: 厚脸皮
但是脸皮薄，一般不会用“thin skinned”，而要说：
Not thick skinned: 脸皮不厚
Sensitive: 敏感
Self-conscious: 怕难为情
2.丢脸，没面子
其实汉语中“厚脸皮”更多的应该相当于英语中“cheeky”，“impudent”，“brazen”甚至“shameless”；“厚着脸皮说”可以翻译为“have the nerve/cheek to say”。下面有这样一句话“As a manager, you have to learn 。
