1. get to+静态动词；与come to +静态动词可以通用。首先大家要明白什么是静态动词？所谓的静态动词就是像know\be\understand\love\like\hate\realize等这样的动词自己没有动作的起点，就称之为静态动词；要使这样的动词具有起点的含义，常常需要加上get to或come to；这种功能也可以使瞬间动词慢下来，从而具有延续动词的一些用法或含义（本人前期文章有论述）。get（come） to+静态动词；有两种含义。
(一)、表示静态动作的开始，即动作的起点：
How did you come (get) to know him?
你是怎么认识（上）他的？
I shall get to like them in time，I suppose.
我想我会喜欢上他们的。
I’ll never get to understand him.
我永远也不会理解他。

(二)、表示静态动词“逐渐开始、慢慢开始”的一段转化过程：
Over the next few days they got to know the town well.
在随后的几天里他们就慢慢地熟悉了这个城市。
I really wanted to get to know America.
我真想逐渐了解美国。
I shall get to like them in time.
经过一段时间我会变得喜欢他们的。
The best way to get to know the city is to visit it on foot.
要想了解这座城市，最好的方法是步行游览。
After a time you get to realize that these things don't matter.
你过些时候就知道这些事无关紧要。
His drinking is getting to be a problem. 他酗酒越来越成问题了。
He is getting to be a lovely kid. 他慢慢变成一个可爱的孩子了。
2.get to do 表示有机会做某事或被许可做某事:
He never got to go to college. 他从无机会上大学。
meet：普通用词，本义指双方或多方从不同方向或相反方向作向对运动，最终相碰(遇)。encounter：通常指遇到困难或挫折，也指偶然或意外地相遇。confront： 不可避免的，面对面的相遇。也指敢于正视困难或问题的决心和信心。fac。
We didn't get to see her—she was too busy. 我们没有见到她——她太忙了。
3. get to do以表示努力或设法做成某事:
At last he got to knock it down. 最后他设法把它敲了下来。
Did you get to buy the tickets? 你设法买到票了吗?
How did you get to be captain? 你是怎样当上船长的?
析：make one’s acquaintance(也可说成 make the acquaintance of sb)意为“结识某人”，为固定短语，其中 acquaintance不用复数。
注意：get doing主要用于非正式文体中，通常表示某种特定动作的开始，尤其用于get moving，get going，get thinking等搭配中。如：
We&39;s late. 我们还是走吧——时间不早了。
They soon got talking together. 他们不久就开始谈了起来。
结识的单词为：to make friends with.希望对你有帮助。
He got to thinking that she perhaps wouldn't come after all. 他已意识到也许她根本不来了。
m开头的结识用英语表达为：meet meet解析：一、音标： 英 [miːt] 美 [miːt]二、意思：v. 结识；遇见；满足 n. 运动会；集会 adj. 合适的 三、词形变化：副词: meetly 过去式: met 过去分。
