China will set up a new batch of national parks this year on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau，and in the basins of the Yangtze River and the Yellow River，said the National Forestry and Grassland Administration on Sunday.

>Software sector maintains double-digit revenue growth

China's software and information technology sector sustained stable growth in the first four months of this year，with revenue amounting to 2.77 trillion yuan from software-related business，up 10.8 percent year-on-year，data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology showed on Monday.
Companies in the sector raked in 278.5 billion yuan in combined profits，down 1.4 percent year-on-year，shrinking from the 3.9 percent decline registered in the first quarter.

During the January-April period，China's software exports came in at $16 billion，up 3.6 percent year-on year.

The World Health Organization said it expects to identify more cases of monkeypox as it expands surveillance in countries where the disease is not typically found. As of Saturday，92 confirmed cases and 28 suspected cases of monkeypox had been reported from 12 member states where the virus is not endemic，the UN agency said.
"Available information suggests that human-to-human transmission is occurring among people in close physical contact with cases who are symptomatic，"，the agency said.
